One complete filter change - 3 standard HEPASilent filter of polypropylene (traps particles). Updated by Blueair, this filter is now more efficient and does not have a carbon filter.

Replacement filter for Blueair 501
I purchased this filter as a replacement for my Blueair 501. The filters I received did have the additional carbon filter (one side of the filter has a black foam material), despite the product description saying otherwise. I'm not sure if this was a mistake or they just ship whatever is in stock. The filters work as expected.
