It's a wacky theory, one devoid of supporting science, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. That's why the FDA warned the marketer of SilverCure Silver Shampoo to clean up its act.
Then there's the Photon Genie, an electromagnetic device once advertised as using "deeply penetrating mega-frequency life-force energy waves" to strengthen one's immunity against H1N1, provoking another starchy letter from the FDA.
