GREAT AIR PURIFIER!
I recently purchased this purifier, it being my second one. I had the original gray model for well over a year now and it has been working NON-STOP since I brought it home with no problems. I personally am not allergic to anything, or much, but I have a cat at home and it makes it difficult for family and friends that are allergic to cats to visit and stay with me. With this purifier, it made the cat a non-issue, hence the reason why I bought another unit. I was amazed at how well just one little unit worked so having two can't hurt. I've only had this unit for a few weeks but so far, so good. I prefer the look of this unit with it's black and brown (fake wood) panels but in the end, they both work well and serve their purpose (other than color, they're exactly the same). I highly recommend Oreck's purifiers, especially for their permanent filters (easy to clean and no need to replace).

clean air
i work in a heavy truck dealership.you dont realiaze the smell, until i walk in the front door after work. when i open the front door when i get home,you are greeted with fresh crisp air.i have had to dust my house once.

We are amazed
We have a room in our home where our son and his friends hangout smoking and doing what they do. We have always asked them to at least keep the room clean but we found the items in the room were getting pickled by all the cigarette smoke and the other odors, living in the north they are reluctant to go outside and smoke so they open a window thinking that will be enough, does a number on the heat bill. Our Oreck vacuum cleaner survived two floods so we looked at Oreck and found this unit. The selling factor for us was the clean up of the items within the unit that do the work. I love the idea of being able to wash the components, for this then saves us much money. Thank you Oreck for making this wonderful unit, we hope to buy a second unit soon.
